First Twitter and now a Blogspot blog...the bandwagons won't be able to handle me soon. Anyways, this will be my separate travelblog that may or may not die once I get lazy with uploading pictures.
Impressions of DC:
1) It's very green and lush and pretty. But oh god, so humid.
2) My first time seeing fields of fireflies! Very fascinating and pretty. I've also seen more bunnies than squirrels here, and I've yet to get sick of their cuteness.
3) The architecture is wonderful! So monumental, historical, memorial-tastic!
Arrived on Thursday so that I could go on a program tour of the memorials on Friday. TEN MEMORIALS. SIX HOURS. My feet hurt so bad OTL;
Went to the National Archives yesterday and stayed until closing time, which allowed me to take a picture of the Rotunda WITHOUT ANY PEOPLE. Even Wiki's picture of it has people. I win.
Thought I could go to both the Smithsonian Museum of American History and Natural History in four hours today. Haha...ha. I got through HALF of the American History museum. Curse my compulsion to read every plaque and description in every exhibit ever. But it is all so interesting and quite patriotism-inducing. I won't lie, I got a little tingly seeing the Charters of Freedom and the star-spangled banner of anthem fame.
Will try to post pictures later. First day of work tomorrow...
